How to Choose the Right Mirror

Picking the right mirror comes down to three things: size, shape and lighting. A general rule for bathroom vanity mirrors is to keep the mirror slightly narrower than the vanity itself, and to size it so the bottom edge sits roughly 100-150mm above the tap. For a statement piece in a living room or bedroom, an oversized arched or round mirror works well as a focal point.

LED vs Traditional Mirrors

LED mirrors add built-in lighting that's ideal for makeup application and grooming, and many models include demisters to stay fog-free after a shower. Traditional framed and frameless mirrors suit spaces where you already have good ambient lighting, such as pendant lights or wall sconces either side.

Shapes and Styles

Round and arched mirrors soften a bathroom with lots of straight lines and hard edges, while square and rectangular mirrors reinforce a more architectural, minimalist look. Framed mirrors in brass, black or timber tones can act as a design feature in their own right, particularly in bedrooms and living areas.
